Up2Circ (Boosting the uptake of circular business model, product and process innovation) is an international project funded by the Horizon Europe programme. It aims to accelerate and scale up the transition of European SMEs towards a circular economy and will develop and implement attractive and efficient measures tailored to the specific needs of each company.
This project is organising a webinar on Circular transition through digitalisation – the role of labelling, visual tracking, AI and common communication standards. The circular economy transition requires information. Since resources without identity become waste, it is vital to assign appropriate information to goods, track them and then process and transfer this data. The webinar will discuss methods for doing so efficiently, using state-of-the-art technologies such as AI, visual tracking systems, the Internet of Things and common communication languages, e.g. GS1 standards.
The role of businesses is crucial in scaling up these innovations, and SMEs (which make up 99% of European companies) will play a pivotal role in mainstreaming them. The webinar will discuss ways to promote their uptake of innovative information technologies and systems.
Programme
- The rising role of information and AI and the consequences for our economic system
- Increasing effectiveness through digitalised logistics – real-world benefits
- GS1 for the Planet: Standards that support circular transformation.
This webinar will take place in English on 3 December from 10:00 to 12:00 CET. A Zoom link will be provided after you have registered.
