The European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) is organising a meeting with the EU private sector on the circular economy in Latin America and the Caribbean. It will provide a space to talk about opportunities and challenges when it comes to investing in circular value chains. The aim is to define working methods for a common EU approach in the region. This is part of the EU’s efforts to promote European investments under the Global Gateway Investment Agenda.
Similar meetings will take place in parallel in sector-specific groups (regional electricity integration, digital, railways, e-buses, health-pharma, renewable hydrogen and green finance). Conclusions and good practices identified in each group will be shared during a plenary session. Representatives of Team Europe (EU institutions, Member States, cooperation agencies, development finance institutions and multilateral banks) will be invited to participate, enhancing networking opportunities. There will also be a cocktail reception in the evening of 1 April.
The event will take place on 1 April in Brussels. A formal invitation will soon be extended to interested parties, with meeting details and an agenda. To express your interest, please reach out to them. Due to room limitations, up to two representatives of each organisation are welcome to participate in person, which is encouraged; a link will be provided for online participation.
