The circular economy is reshaping how we use natural resources, but how far have we come? Are products in Europe truly lasting longer? Is the European economy becoming more circular?

This European Environment Agency (EEA) webinar will explore these questions and more, drawing insights from the EEA’s latest briefings:

Eurostat will provide insights into its latest statistics on the circular economy, and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment will provide the latest information on eco-design.

The webinar will be introduced and facilitated by Riyong Kim (EEA). There will be initial presentations on wider issues linked to the circular economy by Ioannis Bakas (EEA) and Oscar Gomez (Eurostat), followed by more in-depth presentations on product circularity by Tobias Nielsen (EEA) and Olivia Chassais (DG Environment). They will be followed by a debate.

This event will take place online at 10:00 to 11:30 CET on 6 March and is particularly relevant to policy makers, businesses, researchers and anyone interested in the future of circularity in Europe. Registration is open to all.
