Achieving Circularity in Cities through Environmental Sustainability of Sports (ACCESS) is an Erasmus+ co-funded project which aims to enhance sustainability and circularity in cities and regions. It seeks to do so by increasing sports organisations’ capacities and knowledge about environmental matters, improving their governance patterns and making sporting events more sustainable.
As this three-year project comes to an end, ACR+ and its project partners – the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, the Welsh and Danish Football Associations, the GAA and FC Porto – are hosting the project’s final conference.
The event will showcase the results and achievements of the four participating countries and cities. It will demonstrate the tools produced to unlock the potential for more environmentally-friendly sports, and encourage uptake, replication and reinforcement of sustainable resource management and circular economy in cities and sports.
The conference will take place at 10:00-15:00 CEST on 14 May at the Roi Baudouin/Koning Boudewijn Stadium in Brussels. It will be in English and in person.
