#ForOurPlanet – big changes often start small

What is the campaign about?

#ForOurPlanet is an EU campaign to address climate and nature crises across the globe. This year, under the banner Big changes often start small, it is calling on individuals and organised civil society to take action for nature and for our planet. Together, we want to show that we care for our planet, despite – or rather because of – the challenging context we live in.  The focus is the circular economy – sharing, upcycling, reusing and repairing!

What does it mean to take part?

Set an example by organising inspiring circular economy activities on the ground, ranging from pop-up libraries and repair cafés to swap markets and workshops on cooking with leftovers. If you have a relevant event planned during the campaign period, do let us know at EU-FOR-OUR-PLANET@ec.europa.eu.

You can help promote the initiative via your social media channels using the #ForOurPlanet hashtag and tagging DG ENV (the Directorate-General for the Environment). We have prepared visuals, GIFs and social media messaging in different languages that you can download and use freely.

This year, the #ForOurPlanet campaign is joining forces with the fifth ETF Green Skills Awards, with a special #ForOurPlanet award to reward green skills projects in the area of the circular economy. Support your favourite project!
