LIFE INFUSION, a project co-financed by the European Commission through the LIFE Programme, provides an innovative and environmental friendly solution for two waste effluents from municipal solid waste (MSW) management:
- the landfill leachate and
- the liquid digestate of the organic fraction of MSW.
The project combines high efficient biological and physical-chemical separation technologies to lower the environmental impact of MSW management, while reclaiming high added-value products such as energy, nutrients and reclaimed water.
On 16 March 2023 (10:00 to 14:00 CET), the first INFUSION Open Day will take place at a location – the Ecoparc de Montcada i Reixac (Ecoparc 2), Barcelona – where the project solution is undergoing its first testing. On this occasion the demo-site will be opened, for the first time, to the public and presentations related to the INFUSION solution and technologies will be provided.
