Bio4HUMAN is a Horizon Europe-funded initiative working to solve solid waste management challenges in humanitarian settings. It aims to provide humanitarian aid operators and bio-based sector stakeholders with a list of bio-based solutions for solid waste management that have the potential to be applicable across various humanitarian settings.

This September, Bio4HUMAN will be holding a webinar on empowering the bio-based sector for solid waste management in humanitarian settings. It will focus on the findings of their Humanitarian Needs Assessment Report, prepared by People in Need, with input from Polish Humanitarian Action

The report compiles data collected from humanitarian stakeholders, which will feed into the process of identifying bio-based solutions. It provides valuable information on the main needs of the humanitarian sector with regard to tackling the solid waste management crisis.

The purpose is to familiarise bio-based stakeholders with humanitarian settings and the challenges facing them in terms of solid waste management.

Participants will be able to discuss bio-based solutions applicable to this area, and the bio-based sector will learn how to navigate the landscape of the humanitarian sector as a potential area of interest.

This webinar will take place on 24 September at 14:00 CEST. Registration.
