The EU project CIRCULAR FoodPack invites you to attend its final event “Circular Packaging for Direct Food Contact Applications” where it will present its key findings and results.

Over the last 3 and a half years, the CIRCULAR FoodPack consortium has worked on circular design for flexible packaging. It has demonstrated the various steps required to obtain post-consumer recyclates and shown how to integrate them into new packaging which meets the high standards for food protection and safety.

Participants will be able to find out more about the project’s key findings and the challenges entailed in making flexible packaging circular.

There will be:

  • a keynote speech by the EU project officer of CIRCULAR FoodPack
  • a presentation on key findings and results
  • a panel discussion with industry stakeholders, policy makers and scientists on “Potentials and hurdles of circular food packaging – feasibility beyond technical realisation”.

There will be recommendations for the future implementation of European policy and the community’s research needs, followed by an opportunity to socialise and network.

This event will take place in person and in English on 28 November at 12:00 – 18:15 CET, at Comet Meetings – Louise, Place Stéphanie 20, 1050 Brussels.

Registration and preliminary agenda.

Participation in the event is free of charge but you must register by 7 November. Please note that the number of places for this event is limited.
