The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre is organising a second consultation meeting with stakeholders as part of its ongoing work on a preparatory study on textile products. This will support the implementation of the recently adopted Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
- Day 1 will focus on the analysis of product technologies, defined in terms of product characteristics as related to the specific product aspects and including the base case, the best available technologies and best not yet available technologies and the proposed categorisation. A draft report will be shared with all registered stakeholders well in advance of the meeting and will be used as the basis for the discussions.
- Day 2 will focus on the preliminary presentation of the LCA model framework and the identification of data gaps in the lifecycle inventory, with a view to promoting further information exchange. A questionnaire seeking to obtain additional information regarding substances of concern will be presented during the meeting, in order to gather additional information and promote an initial debate on substances in connection with the preparatory study.
This event will take place online on the mornings of 9 and 10 December.
In order to receive further information regarding the agenda and documents that will be distributed prior to the meeting, you are encouraged to register as a stakeholder. You should choose “Textile products” in the dropdown list “Select Product Group”. Once registered, all future communications wil be sent to your registered email address.
