Recycle Summit: From vision to action – Building a competitive circular textile and footwear industry

The Recycle Summit is a flagship event organised by Refashion which aims to unite leaders and innovators across the textile and footwear sectors. As the industry enters a pivotal phase of transformation in 2025, this summit celebrates progress while catalysing further progress toward a sustainable and competitive circular economy.

Key achievements spotlighted during the event include:

1. Pioneering technical studies and material libraries: Refashion has spearheaded innovative research and developed unique libraries of textiles and footwear materials. These resources provide strategic insights which can accelerate the adoption of recycled materials across the value chain.
2. Recognition of an innovative ecosystem: thirteen successful candidates from Refashion’s project calls will be featured, showcasing cutting-edge solutions for optimising sorting, recycling and the incorporation of recycled materials into new products.
3. Measurable environmental impact: the Environmental Observatory provides robust assessments of the state of play in the industry, identifying key leverage points to enhance environmental benefits and drive systemic change. 

The Recycle Summit is a unique opportunity to mobilise stakeholders, reinforce collaboration and stimulate the supply of high-quality recycled materials. By bridging innovation and action, it aims to establish the textile and footwear industries as benchmarks for sustainability and competitiveness in a circular economy.

The summit will take place from 9:00 to 16:00 on 4 February 2025 at Novotel Paris Les Halles in France. It will be in French and English and will be in-person only (livestreaming may be available). Registration.
