This webinar is organised by bioSOILUTIONS, Bin2Bean, FENIX and FertiCovery, all European projects looking at ways to make soil healthier via the circular bioeconomy.

It will dive into the transformative potential of biowaste management as a driver for sustainable agriculture and the circular economy. The event will explore how different stakeholders and projects across Europe are looking at new ways to collect and make use of biowaste, transforming organic waste into valuable soil improvers and circular fertilisers.

The session will open with an overview of the policy landscape, including the FertiCovery project, and define key concepts in biowaste valorisation. It will then turn to real-world examples from Murcia and Hamburg, highlighting practical approaches from local authorities and farmers, insights from recent EU projects like HOOP, and the intricacies of policy and fee systems that enable or limit progress.

The webinar will also explore regulatory challenges through case studies focusing on biochar and digestates, two promising products in circular agriculture. Participants will gain a better understanding of how compliance with the EU Fertilising Products Regulation is critical for market access and long-term impact.

This event will take place online at 10:00 CEST on 27 June. Registration.
