This workshop will be a great opportunity to connect, exchange insights and shape the future of circular economy initiatives across European borders.
It is organised by Interact and the presidency of EUSALP (held jointly by Austria and Liechtenstein until the end of 2025). To give you some background:
- Interact helps Interreg programmes implement projects which improve the lives of Europeans by making the projects more effective and ensuring that they achieve more with EU funds.
- Interreg drives cooperation acoss borders and between regions so that regions can work together to tackle shared challenges and build a more prosperous Europe.
- The EU strategy for the Alpine region (EUSALP) brings together seven countries and 48 regions to tackle shared challenges, from climate change and biodiversity loss to economic development and sustainable mobility.
This interactive event will bring together circular economy practitioners from across the Interreg programme landscape. It will showcase good practices and breakthrough solutions from Interreg programmes throughout Europe, creating a vibrant space for cross-border learning and knowledge exchange. Participants will explore proven strategies, discuss emerging challenges and forge new partnerships that will accelerate the transition towards an even more effective European circular economy.
It is open to Interreg programme and project representatives who are working on the circular economy as well as to anybody experienced in and interested in finding out more about circular solutions developed by Interreg, inside and outside the EUSALP territory.
This event will take place at 15:00-21:00 CEST on 22 October alongside the EUSALP Presidency meeting in Salzburg. It will be in English and in person only. Programme.
Participants are also invited to the Circular Solutions in Textile & Food workshop organised by three Interreg programmes on 23 October.
