This conference will look at how to use data to drive the circular economy.
There will be four roundtables with public authorities, researchers, businesses and experts who will talk about their experiences and ways to use indicators and data and shape a strategy. The roundtables will focus on:
- Circularity indicators: from data availability to usage,
- Business transition,
- Steering your local strategy using circularity indicators, and
- Outlook: support for research and innovation.
The event will focus on how to acquire data and how to analyse it once you’ve got it. There are not yet many data collection systems, and this conference will explore just how accessible and transparent they are. There will be input from Québec’s circular economy research network (RRECQ), Lyon, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes authorities, the national institute for the circular economy, etc. CIRRID will provide information drawn from the network of circular economy platforms, including Occitania’s key data on the circular economy.
The debate will also cover the digital product passport which will be rolled out in 2027 in construction and batteries.
This event is organised by the Centre d’études et de recherches intersectorielles en économie circulaire (CERIEC) and the Centre International de Ressources et d’Innovation pour le Développement Durable (CIRIDD). It will take place in French at the Maison de l’environnement in Lyon at 09:00 to 17:00 on 8 October. Registration and programme.
