Platform highlights: Launched in June 2020. In their pilot phase, EME have enabled waste sales in the value of 64 million Euro from 18 waste streams. Based on experience the material flows increased by 110% on average in financial value, and the ecological footprint reduces by 60% on average.

The Material Match Making Platform is an online tool (database with the functionality for the characterization and classification of waste properties) that helps to match materials and technology needs between organistions. Its aim is to strengthen local networks for the resue of industrial waste localy, hence reducing the needs for treatment, storage, transport and the consequent environmental impact.
